Lucía Escobar Wuler
27, Image and Sound Designer (UBA) and academic researcher based in Argentina, deeply interested in the intersection of media and technology and their impact on everyday life. She graduated from a specialized high school with a focus on media and obtained her degree in Design of Image and Sound from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA).
For the past three years, Lucía has been teaching Media Theory and Aesthetics at UBA, where she explores the cultural and social impacts of the internet on designers and communicators. Her classes delve into the history of the internet, internet art commerce, and forum history. She draws inspiration from theorists such as Marshall McLuhan, Donna Haraway, and Vilém Flusser, incorporating their ideas into her curriculum to analyze how media and technology shape human experience and society.
Lucía's research interests include transmedia storytelling, technological advancements for a sustainable future, and the environmental impact of digital technologies.
